T-shirts and travels

My little brother, brilliant singer, Aaron.

In a few days Billy and I will be setting off in my campervan heading down through Eastern Europe to Greece. I'll be attempting to write up a few of our adventures here and will also attempt to enrol a few misfits as we go! I mentioned in the previous post that I got T-shirts printed, I didn't mention that they're for sale! I got a load printed with my final pennies so...
1) people can wear their Heart and Soul's on their hearts!
2) As a currency experiment; they can be exchanged for cash, food, fuel or kindness to help support my random schemes, dreams and wanderings.
3) How can you start a movement without a T-shirt?!

I've started a little picture gallery - hopefully we'll have pics of T-shirt wearers all over Europe eventually. If you already have a T-shirt it would be really great if you could send a picture to me to add to the gallery.

And if you don't have a T-shirt and would like one - let me know! I don't have anything set up online yet but if I have enough interest I'll sort it out. They're available in navy or pink and in kids 12-13, small, medium and a very few large ones only in navy. I'm asking a minimum donation of £10 or €15 (plus postage where needed)!

Of course you don't only get a T-shirt, you also get

1) A really nice certificate

2) A hug (may have to be given by proxy)

3) An opportunity to be part of the new revolution of joy, creativity and mistakes*. (*not official)

So the next post will be from somewhere on the road. We're driving down through Czech, Austria then Hungary where we'll spend a few days in a little village somewhere with some old friends of Billy's. Meet you back here in a wee while xxx

The Misfit Files

Welcome to the first post! The heart and soul twinkle-eyed misfits phrase came to me when I was trying to describe how me and my friend Louise met, this is what I thought we spotted each other as. And I don't think we're the only ones. Anyway, the phrase stuck with me and then I moved to the incredible city of Berlin, which could also be named Outsider Central. It's an amazingly inspiring place, full of people finding, following or searching their own personal dreams and freedom in their own very individual ways - including me, I've done a lot of discovering in the last year or so but that's a different post! What's really been growing is the thought that all these different, quirky, unusual, whatever you like to call them, ways we have of doing things are fantastic and make the world a very fascinating place and are surely a thing to be celebrated. So the 'heart and soul misfits' thing started to spread out a bit and turn into something more and I ran with it and here we are. Not quite sure where it'll go but I'm probably going to share some adventures and get you to  join in some schemes! Here's the first....

I designed a logo, got some t-shirts made and started a book... 'The Misfit Files - How Do You Not Fit In?' I was actually in the UK at the time but I sent the book and a couple of t-shirts over to Berlin to be part of the Neu Kölln 48 Stunden exhibition, where my lovelyboyfriendBilly wore a t-shirt and invited people to write in the book the things they thought were weird about themselves! I'd already got a few entries in from London-dwellers and the Berliners got stuck right into sharing their oddities and thoughts on misfit-ness too.

My misfit feet itch so much that I have to move frequently, to relieve the itch and maintain stimulation at maximum level. Even though they both broke into little pieces last year, they are still keeping me on the move. This inability to stay in one place for long is no problem and I wouldn't have it any other way.
